The Uzbek delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister the Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development A. Abdukhakimov took part in the meeting of the UNWTO Committee on the Global Tourism Crisis. The meeting was held as part of a session of the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization, dedicated to the development of specific plans for the revival of the tourism industry. The event was attended by more than 150 ministers and heads of various international organizations. One of the main issues on the agenda was the coordinated approach of COVID-19 vaccines to the recovery of tourism. The UNWTO called on the members of the Committee to join forces for a global campaign to restore confidence in the tourism sector and travel.
